Marcel Wanders designed this most impressive chandelier in 2005, inspired by one of his masters, Achille Castiglioni’s and his cocoon lamp.

Marcel Wanders (born: July 2, 1963) is a Dutch designer, and art director in the Powerhouse studio in Amsterdam. He designs architectural, interior and industrial projects.

Elements and Principles

Texture is the main Element, and Scale is the dominant Principle. Thedelicate and soft-looking cocoon-like texture achieved by the resin diffuser feels surprising for such a grand chandelier. The scale of this chandelier is overwhelming.

Zeppelin emanates grand luxury and modern sophistication. Due to its large size it needs interiors of adequate scale and space. It looks great in grand foyers, art galleries, luxury restaurants and department stores, reception rooms and large residential living/dining areas.
