2000’s: Louis Ghost Armchair
History
Louis Ghost Armchair was designed in 2002. It revives the lines of Baroque furniture and brings it to most contemporary sophistication. Louis XVI Style Chairs, the Fauteuil, inspired this design. It also brings advanced technology with such a large and stable piece that is injected polycarbonate in a single mould. Louis Ghost Armchairs can be stacked up to six high. They are manufactured in transparent or translucent colour versions. Another unique feature is that you can have custom imprints on your own chairs.

French designer Philippe Starck (January 18, 1949), one of the most iconic contemporary industrial, architectural, interior and product designers.

Louis Ghost Armchair is unique is its ingenious combination of historical and modern. Moreover, due to its translucent colours, it does not become the yelling focal point of an interior. These three features combined allow for an extremely broad range of interiors that will look great with Louis Ghost Armchairs in them. Louis Ghost Armchair has become one of the most popular designs in recent years. There is a multitude of their replicas worldwide. In Australia you can buy Louis Ghost Armchairs from, among others, Matt Blatt, Sokol and Space Furniture.
Many international manufacturers produce replicas of this now famous and popular chair. They also change colours and add prints.
