History
It’s a panel of 66 tiles designed in 1876 by William Moriss, and manufactured by the workshop of William De Morgan. Now the panel can be seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Although the Arts and Crafts movement is said to have started around 1890, but William Morris is considered one of the forefathers and most prominent artists of this movement.

Shapes are the main Elements of this design, and Symmetrical Balance is the Principle. The organic shapes of the plants are arranged in a perfect balance of vertical symmetry, giving the panel a feel of natural but well-organised and peaceful balance of design.
